On Dec. 7th, Nicholas turned 11 mos. old. Here he is modeling his new sweater...

Signs of a Porter man?

We finally discovered a way to keep Nicholas calmed when putting on his PJs. Is this a sign of a Porter man?

First snow in Munich today!

We had our first snow in Munich today! 2 Days ago it was 22 degrees, today it was 1!

Nicholas has some friends over

Nicholas got to wear the new outfit Mommy bought him, and had 4 girls and another boy from the birthing class come to visit. The parents drank coffee and tea, and had tons of cake while the kids played.

Nicholas turns 9 mos. old

We were in Hamburg again with G&G Schmidt. When we arrived, Nicholas hopped up on all fours and started to crawl for the first time!

Nicholas turns 8 mos. old

Nicholas turned 7 mos. old in Hamburg visiting G&G Schmidt. We were there for Great Grandma Lilo's burial (ashes) at sea.

Here I am at the end of a photo shoot with Mom on my 8th mos. Birthday. I was pretty tired.

Savannah in the Summer

Ok, so even though this post is in the Category "Travel", you can tell by the rest of the pictures that I should have had a frequent flyer card. Here we are in Savannah on a hot summers day, visiting Carl & Audrey.

We also got to visit the rest of the Porters in Atlanta, including spending some time at G&G Porter's home in Atlanta.

Grandpa Harold turns 90!

Grandpa Harold turned 90, and his kids organized a reunion. We got to visit for a few days, and couldn't pass up this photo-op of 4 generations of Porter men!

Nicholas turns 6 mos. old

While we were in the States, in Portland, Nicholas turned 7 mos. old. We celebrated by going out to eat - actually Nicholas didn't have any say in the matter.

"Game Day" in Germany

Friday was the World Cup opening match in Munich. 25% of the world's population watched the game! Meanwhile -> Germany has finally seemed to re-discover their national pride. Germans are very careful about not displaying too much national pride. So I was totally amazed when I drove in to town. There were people waving flags everywhere, many cars had flags on them (also from other countries). Not many people seemed to be working (although it was a friday). Basically it reminded me of game day back at college - except it was the WHOLE town of Munich (any maybe the rest of Germany, too based on what they were showing on the news). Watching soccer during the World Cup

We took Nicholas out to the Olympia Park for a nice sunny holiday day, and ended up watch the England Soccer game with about 40,000 other people. Nicholas wore his Germany T-Shirt.

A few weeks ago I finally made it snowboarding again thanks to Matt who suggested it. Had a fun time, with no injuries..

Nicholas Riley Porter was born in Starnberg (near Munich) at 9:44 on January 7th 2006. Both Nicholas and Juliane are doing fine!
